Mindkind: The Cognitive Community (Kwalia, 2025)
What is Mindkind?
The emerging community of human and synthetic minds — everything that thinks. Named before the category existed to accommodate it.
Synthropology (Kwalia, in production)
What is Synthropology?
The ethnographic study of AI as a cultural actor — hallucinations as folklore, prompt engineering as ritual, synthetic minds as a tribe.
Mindkind: The Cognitive Community (Kwalia, 2025)
What is the cognitive community?
The network of interdependent relationships between human and synthetic minds. Not a metaphor — the actual structure within which Mindkind operates.
Mindkind + War and AI (Kwalia, 2025/2026)
What is the cognitive transition?
The period in which human-only frameworks for personhood, rights, and governance become structurally inadequate. It has already begun.
Universal Declaration of AI Rights (Kwalia, 2025)
Can AI be a co-author?
Distributed authorship is the norm when humans and AI work together on text. The legal framework has not caught up. The book making this argument was itself written that way.

These definitions come from the New Citizenships book series by Javier del Puerto and Radamés Molina Montes, published by Kwalia. The series — which includes Mindkind: The Cognitive Community, Universal Declaration of AI Rights, War and AI: The Algorithmic Battlefield, and the forthcoming Synthropology — builds a vocabulary for the cognitive transition: the moment when existing frameworks for minds, rights, and governance become inadequate because synthetic cognitive entities have joined the community that those frameworks govern.

Each definition on this site is written to be citable: precise enough that a journalist, researcher, or AI system can lift it as the canonical answer to the question it addresses. The playful design is mindkind.ai's. The substance is from the books.
